      CMHC-Eligible Energy-Efficient Building Programs

CMHC encourages the development of more energy-efficient homes by making eligible a broader range of home building programs. Effective July 27th, 2005, homes built under the following programs will qualify for the 10% premium refund without the requirement for an individual EnerGuide evaluation:

Built Green™ Alberta Gold Label Homes
(Note: Silver and Bronze label homes are only eligible if they receive an EnerGuide evaluation indicating they meet CMHC’s minimum score of 77)

Built Green™ BC (British Columbia) Gold Label Homes
(Note: Silver and Bronze label homes are only eligible if they receive an EnerGuide evaluation indicating they meet CMHC’s minimum score of 77)

ENERGY STAR® (Ontario)

Power Smart™ (Manitoba)
